You've got some options after crashing your bike (provided your better half even allows you to keep it). You can either get it back together with stock parts and start where you left off, add a scrape bar and hit the parking lot, or...go all out and make it a custom showbike.
Owner Mark Vinson opted for the latter, but with a darker twist than what's typical. He wanted the bike to serve as a constant reminder of the day it tried to kill him, and after consulting with the crew at H2O Cycles they came up with the perfect theme.
A few of the mods were already a given: A C&S Custom single sided swingarm and accompanying Performance Machine wheels were a must, and after those major items were sorted everything else began to fall into place. Of course there was the one little problem of figuring out the paint, but with a handful of creative hours in the bag the final design was dis-covered. It was to be the Skull Crusher, named in remembrance of the bike's ornery nature that nearly took out its rider.
After getting it back in one piece, H2O Cycles set to the business of upgrades. A host of goodies from Roaring Toyz got the bling bangin' and H2O's own black chrome accents sealed the deal.
This nasty ZX-14 might have called the initial shots when it bucked its owner, but he got the final word in determining its destiny. Now there's mutual respect between bike and rider-just as it should be.
